910th Airlift Wing 2022 Civic Leader Tour Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts June 9-10th, 2022
Go big… and go to Massachusetts!
Judy McFarland, Safety Director for Warren Fabricating Corporation and Ohio Steel Sheet & Plate Inc recently traveled with the 910th Airlift Wing to the Westover Air Reserve Base (WARB) as a guest of Col. Jeff Van Dootingh on the Civic Leader Tour of the Department of the Air Force. The two-day adventure was filled with many interesting and informative highlights including a visit to the 439th Security Forces Squadron for a mission brief, a hands-on armory tour, and a tour of their new indoor firing range. The group then joined the 439th Fire Department burn house/burn pit area to receive a Fire Department brief and demo of a Stryker Firefighting vehicle.
The group flew aboard one of the 910th’s C-130H Hercules tactical cargo aircraft to WARB and received a hands-on experience where the group interacted with the aircrew and learned about the aircraft and its capabilities.
